The instrument has twelve notes. This interface has sixteen holes, the brass tabs act as circuits. You put metal beads in the slots and make the connections. Two cat 5s and 1 ground come out of it. From there we can really program anything we want. For simplcity’s sake we’re just doing pre-set melodies right now and using the top and bottom rows as binary inputs. We want to explore options such as using one row as a progression input and the other for key signature. We also want to add a big dial for tempo.
